Wind Speed Registry Unit

Wind Speed Registry Unit

The unit is designed for long-term tracking of wind conditions and is used as a key factor for locality assessment (e.g. for energetic and economic suitability for wind power-plants).

The anemometer is placed on top of an iron pole or a mast and is connected by a screened cable with the registry unit. The registry unit is powered by a battery or power line. The unit—developed on the basis of a single-chip microprocessor—displays immediate wind speed and registers the wind speed in 20 ranges for a period of at least one year.

The measuring is carried out in one-second intervals and is recorded accordingly in the relevant registers (ranges). The registry is displayed for given intervals in hours.

The power consumption of the registry unit is approximately 14 mA and is powered by a line adapter (or a 12-volt car battery) and is equipped with a back-up battery for short-term power outages. Maximum length of the connecting cable between the anemometer and the registry unit is 100 meters.
